Training Muay Thai In Thailand

I just got back from a trip to Thailand and did some training while I was there. I’ll talk about that in another post but here I want to talk about a Muay Thai training camp and website located in Phuket Thailand.

Muay Thai KneeWhen you first hit the website, don’t let the crazy purple/pink navigation links on the side turn you off. If I learned one thing when I visited Thailand myself is that the outside of a building is no reflection of the service and quality inside. The Thai people are good people and they love people that love their sport. Check out those crazy links though because they will give you good info on costs of meals and other living expenses so you can budget out your trip. You can really make your money go far in Thailand especially if all you do is fight, eat and sleep.

Suwit Muay Thai Training Camp in Phuket Thailand has the full meal deal. They’ve been open for 20 years and continue to be one of the best boxing facilities in Thailand.

They have great equipment. A full size ring, speed bags, long bags, 3 training rings , ropes and weights as well for their muay thai fighters to stay strong for their muay thai boxing matches.

MuayThai boxing stadiumAs far as accomidations go, Suwit camp offers guests private rooms available at the camp as well as 300 meters from gym . They have fan rooms and air conditioned rooms. I would splurge for the AC folks and I don’t even care what season it is. They also have TV/DVD/Cable, Wi-Fi internet, large beds , hot water bathrooms and a swimming pool . What more could you ask for right?

Pick the time frame that suits your needs as they are happy to help you find daily, weekly, or even monthly accommodations near the camp if the rooms at the gym are all taken.

Suwit Muay Thai Training Camp also runs the big Muay Thai stadium there and fighters training at the camp get free tickets which is pretty cool because I paid around $30 for the fight when I went.

So if you’re thinking about giving it a go and want to experience muay thai training , muay thai in thailand give the Suwit Muay Thai Training Camp in Phuket Thailand website a visit. You’ll have a great time I’m sure :-)

Love muay Thai and muay ying (the females) – not the fake stuff in the bars – but the real fights. Nothing better.
