Colace or exlax softens stool to promote easier bowel movements without stress. Colace does this by softening the stool by mixing in fat and water.
Colace should only be used for short term use and can take a couple of days for the full laxitive effects of the medication to take effect.
Colace is available in capsule, liquid, and syrup form.
Reported side effects are rare and usually of a non serious nature. However any adverse reactions to Colace should be reported.
