Reader question: What do you always hear to eat small frequent meals? Won’t all that eating make you fat?
Answer from Ray: Eating 5-6 small meals per day is an advantages practice because it ensure an almost continual flow of carbs and protein. Since relatively small portions are eaten because of meal frequency, a surplus of calories at the sitting does not usually occur. This greatly reduces the chances of those calories being stored as bodyfat.
By eating frequently, your body does not feel like it is going into a ‘famine state’ and doesn’t feel the need to store energy as bodyfat.
A great question that almost all new clients ask me at some point.
