Burning While Working Out

Hi Ray,

This question may seem unusual, but I thought I would ask for your opinion.

While doing the leg workout for routine two (F2F), I noticed that while doing the exercises, I could feel what I would describe as a “burning” sensation in the muscle (not indicative of injury, but I just felt the muscle working outside of my usual comfort zone).

Yesterday, I decided to experiment and just keep going (to get more reps). Surprisingly, I could do a few more reps.

Do you think attempting to get more reps during the “burning” sensation is a good idea to follow?

Andre

FROM RAY:

Oh my god, yes of course! This is called training to failure and I do it in 85% of my training. I usually do not stop a set until I cannot move the weight an inch. If that takes me past the rep range I am supposed to be working in, then I make an increase in the weight for the next workout.

I’m glad you brought this up because intensity is one of the most important factors in seeing rapid results with the Fat To Fit Program

I have the forum up now on the membership site and will be answering questions in there to build up some conversations.
