Make time to work out

Studies show that those who exercise first thing in the morning are least likely to skip their workouts and that morning workouts can be more effective in terms of results. Of course the most effective workout, never done is not very effective! So morning is great, but the best time to work out is the time that you will actually go!

One tip that helps most people who are just starting at the gym is to actually write the workouts into your planner. Actually sit down and make the appointments with yourself.

If you cannot fit your workout into a 24-hour day, then you need some serious time management help and being fit probably wont fill the void of unhappiness that is in your life right now! The most common thing I hear among my executive clients is that they cannot find the time in their busy business schedule to workout. My answer is: "We spend most of our life chasing wealth, and the rest, spending our wealth to regain our health" Take a look at your priorities, without your health, things become a lot more difficult.

When it comes to the amount of time to allot, how much do you pencil in? Well, usually the best approach is to go about 1 hour or an hour and ten minutes a pop. That’s at the top end. You'll need to show up 3-4 times a week. So we are talking about 4 hours of your time, wait a tick, were talking about INVESTING four hours of your time in working out. I say investing because your health is your greatest asset, so it makes sense to devote at least a little to time to the most valuable possession you have, doesn’t it? YES or YES?

Plan to put a good effort into this. Look long term. You're going to have to make fitness a lifestyle thing and not a crash course in fat loss. Remember that the quicker something goes, the quicker it returns. Can I get a Yo-Yo? As in dieting (sorry bad joke). Fitness is a lifestyle because you want to keep your results. If you stop working out, I'm sorry but your going to go right back down flabby road and end up in blubber town to live out the rest of your existence. So realize right here and right now that the "secret to fitness success" is continual, constant and steady improvement.

Just like anything worth having in life...you will get out of it, what you put into it. Now go and plan time to workout. Next topic is “making and setting goals”. See you there!
