Discipline, Patience and Fat Loss

Discipline can be defined as training to improve strength or self-control . Discipline is important if you ever want to reach your goals. In the up and coming generations, things want to be acquired now. But if you could wave a wand and get the body you desired instantly, you would be missing out on the greatest benefit of physical training. The skill of discipline, patience and self discovery. Now on to what this has to do with losing fat.

Losing fat, it's the topic on many of our minds. If its so important, why do so many of us fail in our fat loss efforts? While you should love who you are fat and all, I will not say what people want to hear if it's not the truth about fat loss.

You're here because you want to lose fat. I’m going to say what you need to hear to lose that weight. So if you have been working out for a few months and you haven't seen any fat loss, there is a problem with what you are doing. If your not working out, but think your on a great weight loss diet. SIDE NOTE: Your motivation level is directly linked to how important your goal is to you. If you feel your goal is important enough, the motivation will take care of itself.

What I have come to understand is that many people are smart enough to know what needs to be done to lose weight, the knowledge is out there everywhere. What I also understand now thanks to my experience with others that want to lose fat is that knowledge is not what makes us succeed when trying to lose fat. It's putting that knowledge into practice. So if people know what needs to be done to lose weight, why are they not doing it?

Besides a lack of self discipline and an inability to give yourself the kick in the but you need...

One reason you don’t lose fat is because the bad habits that made you overweight somehow make you feel better now than you think you will once you lose weight. In other words, you are hooked on immediate satisfaction. We all know that most things that are worth having in life take effort, its really that easy. Find the fitness information (or let me give it to you) and apply your effort.

The other reason people don’t lose fat is that its easier to be overweight now and enjoy your bad habits than it is to put in the effort on a fat loss program if your not 100% sure that this program your on will help you lose fat. You've tried to lose weight before right? AND your still here looking for answers too. That tells me two things. First, you're a personal trainer looking for info to help your own clients or..Second, your still overweight and not happy with what you achieved.

So if you have tried fat loss programs before, (more than you care to admit) and you haven't lost weight, do you think there is a problem with every one of those fat loss programs? That every one of those fat loss programs don’t work?

Or do you think maybe the lack of fat loss lies within? Don't turn away, this is facing the facts time if you want to change your life.

Note on excuses: I know you run into obstacles, every one does. But it’s not normal to be in any "getter better" process without hitting obstacles. SO, the deal is, stop using excuses and learn from them. Excuses tell us where our weak points are and the fitness lifestyle not only makes you fit but is a tool for the rest of your life to put your "personal flaws" under the micro scope and show you how to "beat your flaws" so that in all areas of your life you will be unstoppable. Some times you just cant get over a wall....so you go through it.

You see here is the problem I face. As a Personal trainer working with people who want to lose fat is, I have the knowledge to do this. But you have to use it in order to lose weight, I can't move for you (yes I'm talking directly to you). I'm writing this article on how to lose fat with you in mind. How can I be talking to you without knowing you? Because everyone that wants to lose fat faces the same demons. I know you. You are my living.

Nothing happens on a fat loss program without movement! It takes calories to move, and using calories is the heart and soul of a weight loss program. Now I've told you that in order to lose weight you must move. Are you going to move or sit there and stay fat?

If you are still sitting there overweight, read on.

Another reason that people cant break the bad habits that are holding them back is because at some point something or someone did or said something to them that has preprogrammed them to think bad things about themselves. You have run into a NEGATIVE NELLY!

Things like: your fat, your over weight, you never lose weight, and you're big boned. Programmed to think that in some way you are flawed and doomed to a life with some sort of shortcoming that makes fat loss impossible for you! You are living out life overweight because someone long ago told you that you were fat. You are allowing someone's none caring actions to affect your life! You have let someone control and undermine what you are capable of becoming. Don't do it. To the person that said something to you, forgive them and move on. Its time to get tough and take possession of the results you cause in your life.

Do you agree? YES OR YES?

Those people don't know what your cable of, and you know what? Neither do you, not yet. Not until you do your very best, will you know what you can achieve when you truly apply your self to a serious fat loss lifestyle. If this person told you that you are weak willed, fat, ugly, or lazy, then that's their perception of you. That's not you. You are, and can be so much more. You must believe it, before you can achieve it.

Let me set the record straight right here right now. You are not a special genetic freak. If you are human (and I hope you are or “greetings from earth friend!”) then you can lose weight. Read that again. If you are human, you can lose weight. I don’t know at what speed, I don’t know how much you have to lose, but I know that with enough time and constant effort, you can achieve your fat loss goals.

YOU CAN ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP. You can be unstoppable.
